High Temp Resin Overview
Printed on a SLA 3D printer, High Temp Resin is designed to be used in high-temperature scenarios such as; ducting, molding, and for the automotive and aerospace industries. It is ideal for parts that need to endure high temperatures with minimal loading. It has almost no flex.
Formlab’s High Temp Resin is the only material Makelab offers with a heat resistant component. This material is great for parts that need to have precise functional fits and also withstand high heat. This material can withstand temperatures up to 460F.

Quality (Microns)
This number determines how thin each layer is. The smaller the micron count, the thinner the layer, this results in higher surface detail and better surface finishes.
⭐⭐ Standard Quality - 100 microns
⭐⭐⭐ Detailed Quality - 50 microns
⭐⭐⭐⭐ High Detailed Quality - 25 microns
Colors
Material prints as-is, no color options available. Material is naturally translucent orange in color.

Pro's of PLA
- Can withstand temperatures up to 460 F
- Reliable, precise printing for small clearances and tolerances
- High tensile strength
- Great for producting molds, inserts, mounts, fixtures and anything that experiences hot air and gas flow
Con's of PLA
When to seek other material options
- Not recommended for food-safe use cases
- Not flame retardent
- Brittle material, can chip easily. Very low impact resistant
- No custom color options available
- Precision can be affected by support scarring and removal process
