Rigid 4K Resin Overview
Printed on a SLA 3D printer, Rigid resin is a long-lasting material that is highly resistant to deformation over time. It is great for printing thin walls and features. It offers high stiffness, a high quality surface finish, and is reinforced with glass.
Formlab’s Rigid 4K Resin is best for parts that need ZERO give. This material has zero flexibility which makes it ideal for mounts and brackets due to its high tensile strength and stiffness. This material closely resembles PEEK.

Quality (Microns)
This number determines how thin each layer is. The smaller the micron count, the thinner the layer, this results in higher surface detail and better surface finishes.
⭐⭐ Standard Quality - 100 microns
⭐⭐⭐ Detailed Quality - 50 microns
Colors
Material prints as-is, no color options available. Material is naturally white in color.
Pro's of Rigid 4K Resin
- Great for functional parts that need to look good and work well
- Provides some thermal and chemical resistance
- Extremely high stiffness and strength
- Great for prototyping parts with thin walls
- Great for printing mounts, brackets, jigs, and fixtures
Con's of Rigid 4K Resin
When to seek other material options
- Supports are necessary for printing which can affect the visual quality & dimensional accuracy of the part
- Brittle in nature, not impact resistant, will break when dropped
- Custom colors not available, material is white in color
- Not ideal for parts that require any flexibility
