What materials can you 3D print in ?
We can 3D print in many materials! We can print in many many different materials. We can print in a variety of hard plastics, resins, and engineering materials. We can even print in Full Color!
If you'd like to explore the different materials, you can check out our Materials Page. Here we detail the best uses of each material and you can see photos of the materials.
What type of files do you accept?
Our Auto-Quoter accepts .STL or .OBJ files mainly. These file types are easy to export to from any programs you may be using for 3D modeling.
If you are sending us a manual inquiry or request, you may send us any of the following file types: OBJ, STL, STEP, 3DM, SLDPRT, SLDASM, IGES.
We have a variety of programs that we can edit and convert your file with.
Can you print my files in a specific orientation?
If you're an experienced 3D printing users, you may have an idea of what prints well and what doesn't. If you have a print orientation preference, please let us know in the notes/messages section of your order.
If you have a drawing or screenshot highlighting which surface you'd like to be placed on the bed, please send that along our way.
What are the differences between quality levels?
In SLA printing, layer lines are typically less visible than in FDM. Printing at a higher quality setting in SLA means that your parts will appear with virtually no layer lines. As is the case with FDM, SLA also takes longer to print in a higher quality setting.
Why does my 3D Design need support? What is support?
3D printed supports are required when a feature is printed with an overhang beyond 45 degrees.
Support material easily breaks away from the 3D printed part after printing is complete. It is required when a feature is printed with an overhang beyond 45 degrees and requires a breakaway support surface.
