HP Multi-Jet Fusion (MJF)
3D Printing Technology

Multi-jet Fusion is a 3D printing process, allowing for complex, lower-cost, and strong parts. When utilized in bulk production, Multi-jet Fusion offers a faster, more cost-effective process.

MJF 3D PRINTING
TECHNOLOGY

MJF (Multi Jet Fusion) 3D printing is a sophisticated Powder Bed Fusion (PBF) technology that employs a precise heat source to fuse particles within a build chamber loaded with thermoplastic powder.

HOW DOES MJF WORK

MJF (Multi Jet Fusion) uses a bed of fine powder and inkjet print heads.

The process begins by applying a thin layer of powder on the build platform. The print heads then deposit a fusing agent and a detailing agent onto the powder layer. The fusing agent selectively bonds the powder, creating solid layers, while the detailing agent enhances the final appearance.

This process is repeated for each layer until the complete object is formed. Excess powder provides support during printing and can be reused for efficiency.

WHAT IS MJF BEST FOR

Multi Jet Fusion (MJF) is renowned as the top 3D printing technology for creating strong and durable parts. Its unique advantage lies in producing components without the scarring typically left by support structures. This makes MJF ideal for applications that demand a high-quality finish and structural integrity, such as in automotive and industrial equipment manufacturing.
